Tiny Home - Designs for Micro Living January 2018 | Page 21
You enter the tiny home from the collapsible deck
on the back of the tiny home through the large, beautiful
glass door. You step into the spacious living area of the
tiny home. To the right, there is a large bank of
windows to let in plenty of natural light. The windows
can also be opened to allow a nice cross breeze
through the home naturally cooling the house and
allowing you to run the air conditioner less, saving you
money on your electric bill.
If you take about ten steps forward, you will walk
through the living area, that includes a workstation,
couch, and big screen tv. Past the living area is the full
size chef's kitchen. It has plenty of storage and cabinet
space along with all the necessary appliances that a
chef would require. This includes an oven/range, dishwasher, large sink, and a
refrigerator/freezer. If you were to so desire, the plans could easily be reworked to
include full size appliances.
Past the kitchen to the right is a small hallway. To the left, there is a beautiful barn
door that leads into a full sized bathroom. The bathroom includes a large vanity, walk in
shower, toilet, and a washer and dryer combo unit. If need be, you can easily rework the
plans to include a tub/shower combo instead of a walk in shower in order to better suit
your needs. The barn door is used
because it is easier to operate than a
pocket door and uses space much better
than a normal door would.
Finally, past the bathroom, you
proceed up a small staircase and enter
into the bedroom, which is large enough to
fit a king sized bed. It has plenty of
windows and a nice detailed gabled roof
overhead giving it a nice rustic feeling.
