I was able to slow things down a bit
and have a better awareness on the fi eld
and move the ball and pass into space
in order to distribute the ball more
effectively. It was like a bit of freedom
to make plays.”
Gerrish is looking to pursue a degree
in criminology, either in Vermont or out
of state. But before then there’s an ice
hockey season that’s starting soon.
“The girls hockey team hasn’t been
great the past couple years but I hope to
get out there and show the coaches what
I can do to help win some games,” Ger-
rish said. “Hopefully things go well.”

athlete who supports her teammates
and can be the glue of the team, they’ll
be hard-pressed to fi nd a player as
well-spoken, humble and appreciative
as Gerrish.
