say, ‘No! Turn around! We need to see
what that is! We need to talk to them!
That looks interesting.”
The couple said they find people are
usually happy to indulge them when
they are out adventuring.
“If we see something that is inter-
esting and we want to know more, we
ask,” she said. “People are usually real-
ly happy to be able to give information.
It’s really an exciting part of traveling –
meeting other people. It doesn’t always
happen, but often it does.”
The couple has come to appreciate
the Mississippi Delta – Ed enjoyed the
Shack Up Inn in Clarksdale as one of
their quirkier stops. They also took
a trip to French Camp, where they
toured around. Often, Donna stops to
take interesting pictures along their
routes. One of her favorite photogra-
phy spots is a cemetery in Kosciusko.
Outside of Mississippi but still just
within a few short hours, the cou-
ple also has enjoyed time spent in
Alabama, including in Greensboro,
where there are several restaurants
they enjoy, including The Pie Lab.
