A Dog Is A Man's Best Friend

Did you know that newborn puppies have a heat sensor in their nose to help guide them until their eyes and ears open? Puppies just like cats sleep at least a minimum of 20 hours a day. This is really common in growing dogs. Puppies take half a year to gain half their body weight. Dogs are jealous creatures so if they see you paying attention to another animal they want the same attention. Petting a dog can actually lower your blood pressure. The Labrador being the most popular breed is one of the easier breeds to train. The mastiff is the heaviest breed weighing in at 200 pounds and the greyhound is the fastest running at 44 mph. Dogs sweat through the pads of their feet and they live 10-14 years.
