Denim Bucket Hat History
The bucket hat was first created in the 1900s as a functional item to worn by fisherman and Irish farmers to protect them from the rain. Also it being able to fold up and be put in a pocket had an appeal. In the 60s it finally got recognized as a fashionable item. Then fast forward to the 80s were the first rapper wore a bucket hat. After the 90s they were mocked until Rihanna in 2005 tried to bring them back. Then the men put their hand in the bucket and threw their own style in on these hats.
