Spirit of altruism : I ’ ve always enjoyed helping my fellow brother or sister . That ’ s why I enjoy spending my time volunteering in the Fellowship of Christian Athletics and the Optimist Club . Our youth today need mentors to help them make good decisions in realizing their dreams . The Optimist Club raises money to help fund the youth of our area realize their dreams while the FCA helps youth , not just athletics come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior . These are two social organization that are totally committed to helping our youth – that ’ s why I ’ m committed to support them .
Why is it important to give back to the community ? I think it ’ s all our duty to give back to our community to make it a better place to live , work , enjoy our family , worship , play and relax !
An aspect of a volunteer experience really enjoyed : I want to know I was able to help in someone ’ s life … to really make a difference in their life . I ’ ve been blessed in so many ways by so many people I cannot mention them all . It ’ s important to me to make this world a better place by caring for each other .
What is our community ’ s greatest asset ? I ’ ve spent my entire life here in Meridian , except for a few job changes where I had to move , my family is here and has been for generations . The family wholesomeness , slower life style , where there ’ s no place you can go that you don ’ t see someone you know is very valuable . I have never had a time when a fellow-brother or sister would not help me when I need a hand . And I in return will be there for them .
