While individuals recognized in Top 10 Over Fifty are 51 and older , their ages are “ just a number .” These vibrant , active , insightful men and women are optimistic and full of hope about the future . They are leading a path of giving back for future generations to take on the reins . Some work full-time , while others are retired . They all share a common trait : Giving back to the community through volunteerism , mentorship , actively serving on boards and committees dedicated to empowering and improving the community or through random acts of kindness .
Top 10 Over Fifty is presented by Mississippi Power through a partnership with The Meridian Star and Timeless Meridian Magazine . In addition to gracing this edition ’ s cover , the honorees are also featured on the following pages with their brief bios .
Additionally , the Top 10 Over Fifty honorees were feted with a luncheon at Meridian Museum of Art , where they received several gifts .
