Is it ever too late to start ( finish ) your college degree ?

It ’ s never too late ... Now is the time !
At Meridian Community College ( MCC ) we have many , many people from Lauderdale County and surrounding areas who want to complete the degree they started way back when or who want a career change . Whether you started school many moons ago , graduated from high school and the next logical step was to enroll at MCC but you left to get a job to help care for your family . Now your family is older , and more self-sufficient and you want to finish what you started . You may even completed high school and went immediately to the workforce and now you don ’ t feel fulfilled in your current position . Life has many changes ; ups , downs , twists and turns and you are ready for a change . No matter the reason , MCC has many offerings for you ! I ’ d like to offer some advice / tips for you when starting on your journey .
My first and best advice to give you is to first sit down and talk with someone at MCC . We would love to sit down and chat about your life experiences and see what a good fit may be . You ’ d be surprised how much you can come up with by having a conversation and getting those thoughts into the atmosphere . I do advise that you make an appointment to ensure we are ready to receive you and devote the time you need .
We don ’ t want you to feel rushed or that we were unprepared when you came to the college . At the meeting , some topics that may come up may include : finishing your Associates in Arts , Applied Science degree , technical or career certificate ; Career Technical Education ( CTE ) pro-
