My mother helped me cultivate this virtue at an early age , by showing me how to treat others . If we had it , you were welcomed to it . And if we didn ’ t have it , we would find a way to help whomever was in need .
Importance of giving back to the community : Volunteering your time to support a cause you are passionate about is something you will never regret . It will enrich your life , familiarize you with your community , and connect you to people and ideas that will positively impact your perspective for the rest of your life .
Share an aspect of a volunteer experience that you ’ ve really enjoyed . As a member of the local Catholic diocese , we have a ministry of providing meals to families , who are either in need or have recently lost a loved one . My love for cooking , paired with serving others , provides an outlet for me to experience volunteerism at the highest calling . The fulfilling feeling of giving back and contributing to society is unparalleled .
Community ’ s greatest assets : One of the best things about Meridian is when her people see a need , they respond . There are so many important causes out there that always need volunteers to support the work they ’ re doing . Whether you ’ re passionate about advocacy , animal rights , or helping the homeless , you can find a valuable way to donate your time .

This quote is epitomizes who I have tried to be my entire life . I wanted those around me to see my true colors at all times ; not just during the good moments . It ’ s easy to look brave and confident when there is no fighting going on . Only when the battle starts and people are really tested do the strong and the brave get revealed .
• Edward “ Ed ” Mosley and his wife Adrian have been married 45 years . They have three children , Royce , Justin and Victoria , and five grandchildren : Brandy , Brianna , Christopher , Jaden and Addison .
