Magnolia Quilt Guild offers quilters connection and learning

For decades , Betty Davis had a clear sense of identity , focusing her efforts on being a teacher , wife and mother . But then , she found herself retired . Her husband had passed away and her children were grown . “ For so long , I had been a teacher and a wife and a mother ,” she recalled . “ It was a difficult time and I realized that my definitions of myself had to change . I think that is something a lot of people go through .” Davis credits the Magnolia Quilt Guild with helping her to find herself again . The group has about 20 members and meets twice a month . Members also hold retreats and other special events . The group was established in the early 1990s and
