Tassie tax abolished
Tasmanian caravan dealers are
looking forward to an upturn in sales
after the State Government agreed
to scrap a 3 per cent sales tax.
Tassie caravan dealer Alan Gath, who
lobbied for the change, predicts sales
could now double as it is no longer
cheaper for buyers to go to Melbourne.
Mr Gath is continuing to lobby
for the State Government to halve
a 4 per cent sales tax still being
applied to motorhomes.
