Rehau enters the cut, edge and deliver
market
By Rehau
Rehau has launched its popular
online configurator platform
for edged cut-to-size cabinetry
components in South Africa. The
configurator goes live from
01 September 2019.
T
he configurator is aimed at the kitchen, furniture and
shopfitting manufacturers. The configurator allows
the user to select a specific Rehau acrylic surface and
enter the sizes of doors or panels or drawer fronts required.
The user will then receive a quote.
A choice of Rehau’s two acrylic surfaces is available:
• Rauvisio Brilliant boasts a selection of 11 different
colours, all in high-gloss or matt options.
• Rauvisio Crystal is a glass-like design surface, offering 9
colours and can be selected in high gloss or matt options.
New colours will be added to the range as they become
available.
Mark Stoltz, sales director for furniture and window
solutions at Rehau, says that Rehau is traditionally known to
supply mainly edgeband and tambour (roller shutter) doors
to customers. However, Rehau has extended its product range
to include designer surfaces for the use in cabinetry, which
has become an integral part of its product offering
internationally. “We have now made these exciting surfaces
available to our customers in southern Africa. We are certain
that both the Brilliant and Crystal surfaces will appeal to
local manufacturers and homeowners alike. Glossy and matt
surfaces are very much a current trend, be it in an acrylic or
glass-like look.”
All the Rauvisio surfaces consist of an acrylic top layer
paired with perfectly colour matched balancing sheets and
edgeband to produce a high-quality finished panel. They are
suitable for all vertical applications for use in kitchens and
other living areas. Furthermore, they are UV resistant and
provide lasting quality backed by a five-year warranty.
Rehau’s existing range of glass roller shutter doors will
shortly be expanded to include roller shutter doors matching
the Rauvisio colours. “Rehau has a world-wide presence in
over 170 locations in 50 countries with around 21 000
employees. We have been in South Africa since 1967. The
local furniture division at Rehau is backed by substantial
investment in South Africa to supply products to leading
international brands,” says Stoltz.
