Junckers, a Danish manufacturer of solid
hardwood flooring for the sports,
residential and commercial segments.
Junckers’ wood floors and wood care
products are produced in Denmark and
are developed based on the solid
traditions of Danish craftsmanship.
Through its partnership with Junckers,
Plantation aims to venture into the
market of specialised coatings.
Amidst global economic pressures,
import challenges and a lot of red tape,
Karl and Heinz are determined to
remain relevant and productive in the
timber industry. “With timber bans
prevalent in African countries, it’s
difficult to obtain raw materials,”
notes Heinz.
He adds, “We aim to keep growing
the company and pursue new ventures.
We are looking into extending our
footprint by opening shop in Cape
Town.” Karl concurs, “We endeavour to
continue our business as usual and
expand, of course.”
