requirements of efficient energy usage
and low overall environmental impact.
Rhino wood is sustainable, locally
sourced and naturally develops an
attractive grey patina that matches the
other exterior finishes of the building.
The timber element of HQ was
completed over a six-month period
beginning in the latter part of 2016.
Occupation of the building is set for the
third quarter of 2017.
HQ Developers wanted to create contemporary high-
end offices that included functional outdoor spaces.
INSTALLING THE TIMBER
The installation of the timber was
contracted to Grain & Co and it is their
largest installation of rhino wood to
date. The installation of the original bill
was completed on time and as a result
more elements were added to the
project. This included ceiling
components on the restaurant deck and
additional seating areas. The addition of
laminated rhino wood pergolas
completed the project that now features
the full range of Rhino Wood’s product
applications, particularly where very
specific sizing and spans are required.
