As a functional material it ticks all the boxes when it comes to
aesthetics, sustainability and functionality, but how is timber used
in office design?

tairways, ceiling, floor, decking, cladding, chairs,
tables, cupboards, shelves – the ways in which timber
can be used in an office are countless.

This is due to timber’s versatility. Timber is eco-friendly as
it is a renewable resource, secondly no other material beats
timber’s strength per weight ratio and lastly timber is
warm, natural and beautiful from an aesthetic point-of-view
avoiding a clinical / cold look and feel that can sometimes
be inherent in corporate spaces.
