state or treated with colour. In one
application, you can change the colour of
any absorbent natural wood product to a
colour that will enhance the grain and
transform the look.
With more than 60 colours to choose
from the Jax Oleum range is incredibly
effective and highly durable and there will
be one to match your needs.
A 1-litre tin covers about 50m² and it
only takes one coat to colour and protect
your wood against water, heat and sunlight.
It is simple to apply, first you need to sand
down and clean your natural wood and
then apply the oil using a cloth. After a few
minutes the oil penetrates the upper layers
of the wood and then you simply wipe
away the excess. It can be used inside and
outside for gum poles, window frames,
flooring, doors and furniture and can also
be applied to all veneers.

CHROME-PLATING BRASS THE ECO WAY
Olivari’s Research and Development
Department has developed a unique
method for chrome-plating brass
ecologically. Unlike the traditional
manufacturing process, the
Biochrome covering uses trivalent
chrome instead of the common
hexavalent chrome, harmful to both
health and the environment.
Its Biochrome finish is suitable for
green architecture and anywhere a
low environmental impact product
is required. Laboratory tests have
shown that the greater thickness
and uniformity of the Biochrome
plating over traditional chrome-
plating guarantees greater
resistance to wear and tear and
tarnishing.
Biochrome-plated products are
recognisable because they have
been laser hallmarked with the BIO
logo. Plus, each handle can be
traced as it provides a lot number
and date of manufacture.
