INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
The architects used photorealistic wood-textured laminate and lacquered medium-density fibreboard (MDF).

DDA Architecture, under the leadership of restorator
interior architect Eda Tahmaz, designed the
management offices and reception areas of the factory
of Halaman Printing in Istanbul (Esenyurt). Hamalan gives
services to many international corporations in domestic and
international packaging, packing products and graphic design
printing, and has realised the dream of a lively and dynamic
office which is a result of the exchange of ideas between the
office users.
EDDA Architecture brings forth institutionalised corporate
identity that is integrated with technology to bring user
communication to its highest level, and created its design
concept using the natural light available to obtain a spacious
view by adding as much daylight as possible into the space.
The timber used in this office project included medium-
density fibreboard (MDF), photorealistic wood-textured
laminate and lacquered MDF.
According to the architects, this was used because the look of
the timber gives a natural and warm ambiance to the interior.
While all the departments, designed with a transparent and
fluid style that reflects the modern operation culture of the
brand, the needs of the office and user requirements have
been taken into consideration. While in every department
different working units have been oriented accordingly to its
function, personal locker systems have been added for all the
personnel. The working, meeting, instruction and seminar
areas of the departments are integrated with social areas for
its personnel to escape from the intensity and stress of
working life.
EDDA Architecture, which turned the positioning of the
management office onto the highest floor, takes advantage of
daylight in the space to maximum level and has managed to
take clean air into the office by using ‘skylight’ windows in
café and circulation areas.
