Vermont open days – simply the best

Since the Vermont Sales Open Trade Days were created back in 2000 they have grown from strength to strength and have always been hugely successful, but this year ' s – on 24 and 25 March – will go down as the best held to date.

“ We really put everything into this year’ s open days,” says Ryan Hunt, sales director for Vermont Sales.“ Again, we invited all our key international suppliers from our leading brands who were on their stands meeting with customers and demonstrating all their products. We have always had a great line up of overseas guests but this year is one of or our best, with many of the top executives from all our leading brands attending the show and rolling up their sleeves and getting actively involved.
“ Top suppliers like Paul Souber the managing director of Souber tools and Moshe Abraham the president from Nes Tools Israel. The lively owner and CEO of Alpen Drills Austria Max Reischl who launched their all new revolutionary technically advanced Sprint MASTER and Professional range over the two days, which offer three times the service life, are 30 % faster, tougher, highly accurate and precise, the ultimate in HSS twist drill design from the leaders in drills and drilling technology,” says Hunt.
“ It was the perfect opportunity to meet with international experts, to discuss these hugely successful brands and products, view the demonstrations and see the latest products in action. The new power tools and accessories were mind boggling, the technology that is now available is really out of this world, along with the really clever range of new products, taking tools and accessories to a completely a new level,” says Dale Engelbrecht, commercial director, Vermont Sales.
“ These open days allow us to interface with our customers, demonstrate the tools and accessories which is a huge benefit to our clients as it allows us to demonstrate, educate and offer solutions for customers. They can also see all the tools in action, ask the questions and see what they are capable of. Trade customers can also sign up on the day for any of our many free training courses that we run each year,” adds Engelbrecht.
This year’ s Open Trade Days had a record 180 display stands with more than 60 brands on display and product ranges running into the 1 000s. Over the two days, more than 100 demonstrations took place in the main arena and on the international stands. Customer attendance was excellent with well over 1 000 guests attending.

The Vermont Sales team laid it on as they normally do, supplying all refreshments throughout the day, a very impressive coffee bar, refreshment station and continued announcements kept the guests informed and up to date with all that was happening over the two days.
LATEST TOOLS AND ACCESSORIES
“ This has to be the one of the best shows ever, if you are into this sort of business and did not attend you missed a fantastic opportunity to see the latest tools and accessories,” says a trade customer.
“ There was everything and more on display, new products, with some outstanding specials so much so that I attended both days, for a retailer like myself it was like Christmas. They left nothing to chance and catered for all, better than most international fairs that I have attended overseas, these Vermont Sales guys are truly a professional operation,” he adds.
