space. “It was created to be a functional and creative
feature, we encourage people to use it,” says Boshoff.

Various woods were used throughout the office including
pine, which was treated with a fire retardant, white oaks
and French oaks. Wood brings in a natural warmth, among
other things, which was the reason why wood plays a crucial
role in building the development.
“It gives a sort of organic feel to this place. You need
timber to soften the design from hard surfaces like the floor
and glass. It’s one of the nicest things you can use for an
interior,” says Reddeco’s Gysbert van Graan.
DIE KLUBHUIS
The Club precinct is home to 14 000m 2 vibrant retail,
restaurants and offices in Club Retail and Club One. The
5 200m 2 Die Klubhuis (Club Two) houses a modern and
high-tech 3 300m 2 Planet Fitness Megaclub, as well as
A-grade offices. The name is derived from the building’s
location, which is a close distance to the Pretoria
Country Club.
Die Klubhuis is also where the HQ is situated. The
10 000m 2 Club Three includes The Club Advocates’
Chambers (occupied on 1 November 2017), a medical day
hospital estimated at 5 000m 2 and 15 residential units.
The final aspects of the development will be completed
during the first quarter of 2018.
