n operation since 1992, Jax Classics has grown from its
inception as a niche craft manufacturing and supply
company to a thriving diversified business.
After several years of research and development, the
company launched Jax Oleum, a single coat wood oil and
deck oil stain, as well as other related products such as
varnishes and cleaners. “Years in the making, we were
excited to launch this new product in July 2014,” highlights
Charles Datt, managing director of Jax Classics.
He continues, “We saw an opportunity in the market for
locally manufactured, competitively priced, high quality
wood oil stain that would compete with the existing
imported brands. We have managed to do this, based on
price, quality, colour choice and friendly service.”

Datt notes that another important factor is that the product
is environmentally friendly and manufactured with the
highest quality raw materials. “We have achieved this with
a low VOC product, which is most importantly Global
GreenTag Certified – the world’s most robust, trusted and
widely recognised eco labels,” he explains.
A LONG-LASTING IMPRESSION
In one easy application, Jax Oleum protects, nourishes and
colours all natural, uncoated timber. It reacts with the upper
layers of the wood, penetrating and sealing in the colour,
nourishing and protecting the wood in one easy step.
Although not waterproof, the product is very durable and
boasts a high resistance to water, heat and sunlight.
