One of the demonstrations from the festival .
Lecturer at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University , Barry Muller , discussed how the forest is a valuable asset to the community . Forests not only play a significant role in carbon sequestration , but also provides us with a valuable source of fibre for various applications . Wood fibres are used by many different societies in many different forms throughout the world . Wood is good , and forests provide us with this versatile source . Snyman , Turner and Grobler took to the podium again to discuss traditional archery and how to seal and colour your wood respectively .
DAY 3
After the short film and Tjhoko paints presentations , Langie Lagenhoven gave a talk about interesting facts about bees . Woodoc , Heartwood Bows and the short story followed thereafter .
The kids zone featured interactive activities .
