• “I would like to say thank you for all the work you did to
accommodate us at this year’s Wood Conference. It was
great!” – Arne Gunter • “Thank you for arranging such a lovely event yesterday. It is
always a highlight of the conference calendar.”
– Johan Swanepoel
• “In general, I thought that this year’s Wood Conference’s
topics were much more appropriate for our local context and
just inspiring! I specifically enjoyed the following speakers:
Arne Gunter; Peter Bisset; Jamie Smily; Antonella Carfi and
Sela Tamar Farner; Brand Wessels; and in my opinion, the
best speakers of the day were Gregorie Kingsley and Thor
Solbjør.” – Janine De Waal • “I just wanted to drop you a mail and say thank you for
running such a great event.” – Jamie Smily
• “Thank you for an amazingly well-organised and informative
event! This being my first, I am really impressed at the quality
of speakers and information sharing which happened at this
event.” – Kris Coetzee
“Congratulations on the hosting of the 10th Wood Conference
yesterday. I have been attending the conference for a couple
of years and am heartened by the increasing number of
South African presenters. This is evidence of European
technologies being tested and adapted to our circumstances
in South Africa, which I think is crucial for the wider adoption
of timber technology and products across the socio-
economic spectrum.” – Rudolf Perold IN SUMMING UP…
•
The summary above does not quite do justice to the success
story of the 10th Annual Wood Conference, and the good
news is that speakers have consented to Timber iQ publishing
their presentations. These will be published in future issues of
the publication, as well as online, so be sure to watch this
space!
