ATI is Manila's
top taxpayer
T
he City of Manila named listed port operator Asian
Terminals Inc. (ATI) as the Philippine capital’s top real
property and sixth highest business taxpayer for fiscal
year 2017 during the commemoration of the city’s 447th
founding anniversary.
In ceremonies held at the historic Manila Hotel, former
president and Manila mayor Joseph Estrada lauded ATI
and other corporate taxpayers for dutifully contributing to
the city coffers and for serving as the city’s partners for progress.

ATI operates the Manila South Harbor, one of the two international
gateways into Manila, which offers comprehensive port services for
international containerized and non-containerized cargoes, international
cruise ships and foreign navy vessels sailing into the country on goodwill
visits.
ATI assistant vice president Ian Baking (in photo, left), said that “these
citations are added testament to ATI’s growth and excellence as a major
port operator, which supports the country’s growing economy.”

community
clean-up
sian Terminals Inc.’s (ATI) Batangas Port employees
recently took time off from usual duties to join hands
with the local community, particularly in cleaning
and greening public spaces in Batangas City in
commemoration of the city’s 49th founding anniversary.
Momentarily trading port and office equipment for
brooms and cleaning kits, ATI volunteers cleared flotsam
along streets adjacent the Batangas Port in support
of Batangas City’s “Sama-Samang Pagkilos para sa Luntiang Lungsod”
community activity.
As a responsible corporate citizen, ATI spearheads and joins community
undertaking to promote safety, health and environmental protection under
ATI CARES (Corporate Advocacies and Responses for the Environment and
Society), its dynamic Corporate Sustainability Program.
