PCG welcomes the delegation from C.O.R.A.L. of the Heirs of the World Inc. and Miss Earth Philippines 2018 P CG: The PCG led by the Deputy Commandant for Administration and Director of the National Coast Watch Center, Rear Admiral Joel S Garcia PCG Ph.D., H.D. Al-haj welcomed the delegates of the Conservation of Ocean Resources and Aquatic Life (C.O.R.A.L.) under the Heirs of the World Incorporated headed by its Chairman of the Board, Dean Dr. Renato Sison together with the four (4) titleholders of Miss Earth Philippines 2018 during their visit aboard National Coast Watch Center at the National Headquarters Philippine Coast Guard in Manila last June 05. During the short visit, the said delegation was briefed of the PCG’s mandates and mission thru an audio-visual presentation and a short forum. RADM GARCIA PCG reiterated to the C.O.R.A.L. and Miss Philippines-Earth family that in all their undertakings, the PCG with its enforcement capability will always provide assistance and support especially in terms of Marine Environmental Protection. Moreover, Miss Philippines- Earth primarily aims to give a strong emphasis on environmental awareness programs which is similar to the PCG's main advocacy of protecting property and life at sea and with the National Coast Watch Center as the point of contact for maritime security coordination. Meanwhile, the said delegation thanked the PCG for the assistance and security provided during the C.O.R.A.L.’s first recent deployment of “coral beds” at Quezon Province and looking forward to building stronger ties with the organization.
