The late National Artist for Music, choirmaster and choral clinician Andrea O. Veneracion,
for whom the Festival, now on its 4th time, was named for, was the founder of the
globally esteemed Philippine Madrigal Singers. She will also be greatly remembered for
developing the appreciation and keen interest of choral music all over the country. First
organized in 2013, the Festival takes place every two years.
