The Department of Tourism (DOT) and the
Intramuros Adminisration (IA) initiated the
revival of the Walled City as a center of faith
this year inviting pilgrims and faithfuls to
come together for the Holy Week.
"We aim to capitalize on our unique
Catholic festivals and Filipino traditions
to pursue more Catholic pilgrims
or faith tourists from Brazil, Mexico,
United States, Columbia and Spain
among others," Teo added.
A number of foreign
tourists witnessed
the Filipino faith and
tradition around the
Manila Cathedral
during the Intramuros
Lenten Week.
