While teeming with tourists , tantalizing Tagbilaran and paradise-like Panglao Island , reinforced their health response system by teaming up with the Philippine Heart Association ( PHA ), an authority in cardiopulmonary resuscitation ( CPR ).
Tagbilaran and Panglao are the 17th and 18th hops of the PHA- and Department of Tourism- ( DOT ) led CPR Wheels & Wings ( CWW ).
With CWW as its promo tool , the CPR-Ready PH 2021 Campaign ’ s main thrust is to transform the country ’ s top tourist destinations into safe and CPR-ready retreats ; and make every community and city / town CPR-equipped .
On April 6 and 7 , 2018 , the CWW-Bohol received a huge horde of Boholanos . Three-hundred seventy dashed to the Carlos P . Garcia Grand Hall of the Allied Care Experts ( ACE ) Medical Center in Tagbilaran City while 432 streamed to the Panglao the Gymnasium .
The CWW - Tagbilaran attendees were composed of municipal employees , barangay officials and health professional and workers , paramedics , public and private civic volunteers , high school and elementary students , some of whom were young members of the Bohol Iron Man Swimming Team .
Majority of the CWW – Panglao trainees were resort / hotel staff / workers ( from front desk personnel to food attendants to cooks and lifeguards ) dive shop owners , barangay health worker , hotel-resort guests and other walk-ins .
