L ast December 14 , the Maritime Industry Authority ( MARINA ) lifted the moratorium on the accreditation of maritime training courses with the issuance of SCTW Advisory 2016-25 .

All existing MTIs intending to offer new programs or courses shall first be required to apply for accreditation as Recognized Training Centre with MARINA SCTW Office . Moreover , the newly formed MTIs that intend to offer new programs or courses shall likewise comply with the existing MARINA circulars , policies , rules and regulations in the accreditation of Maritime Training programs or courses . Submission of fraudulent or fake documents or cloned , pirated or imitation equipment / simulators shall be grounds for disapproval of the application for accreditation .
