Saving Laguna Lake
The Laguna Lake Flood Control
and Lake Shore Park Project
of a medical doctor cum
environmentalist has gained
momentum once again after a
successful project presentation
before the technical committee
(TechCom)) presided by LLDA
Division Chief Engr Sta. Ana of
the Laguna Lake Development
Authority. The TechCom, is
composed by all the division
chiefs and officers-in charge of
LLDA. Earlier the Project was
endorsed by the Office of the
President to the Department
of Environment and Natural
Resources and other attached
agencies.

the multi-pronged project aims to rehabilitate
Laguna de Bay to its original depthness and water
quality, solve the flooding
of Metro Manila and the
towns and cities of Laguna and Rizal, and at the
same time create the longest lakeshore park in the
world was
“ I am confident that once this Laguna Lake Flood
Control and Lakeshore Project is implemented, it
will be President Benigno Aquino III’s legacy to the
Filipino and to the world as we will be the only country that solved our flooding by creating the longest
lakeshore park in the world,’’ Dorado continued.
After the presentation, LLDA TechCom presiding
officer Engr. Sta Ana said, the Project has addressed
almost all the concerns of Laguna Lake in a holistic
approach.
Project Coordinator Susan Amoroso said that the
Project will solve the flooding in the whole metropolis and all the towns and cities of Laguna and Rizal
and the nearby provinces of Cavite and Batangas .
It will also decongest Metro Manila from traffic and
