The Three Dimensions of Identity
When reflecting on identity , consider three key dimensions :
1 . Who You Are Today This includes both the brightest and darkest aspects of your heart — your current reality .
2 . Lies Told About You These are false narratives , whether from others or the deceiver , that distort your understanding of your worth and purpose .
3 . Who You Are Called to Be in
Messiah This is your ultimate identity — the person God created you to be . It includes your destiny in Messiah ’ s family and the good works God has prepared for you .
A Blueprint for Life
Ephesians 2:10 explains , “ We are His workmanship , created in Yeshua Messiah for good works , which God prepared beforehand , that we should walk in them .” God planned your purpose long before you were born . Like a carefully crafted blueprint , your life was designed with intention .
Restoring Your True Identity
As you explore your identity , it ’ s essential to uncover areas where false narratives have taken root . Are there “ identity curses ”— negative labels or beliefs holding you back ? Eliminate these . Are there “ identity blessings ”— truths that affirm your God-given value ? Hold fast to these .
Restoring a complete awareness of your identity in Messiah requires intentional reflection , prayer , and Scripture study . Through this process , you can rediscover who God says you are and begin to live out your purpose with confidence and joy .
Living Out Your Identity
To live as a son or daughter of God is to embody the privileges and responsibilities of that identity . It means trusting in God ’ s love , showing compassion , and reflecting His values in daily life . Your decisions and actions should stem from the understanding that you are deeply loved and guided by a divine Father .
Understanding your identity is a journey of discovery and healing . It begins with the question , " Who am I ?" and leads to the realization that you are God ’ s workmanship , created with intention and purpose . Embrace this truth , and you ’ ll find your value , destiny , and purpose align with His perfect plan for your life .
