obedience and suffering yet still show others mercy . It is not that they have never sinned , but rather that they have done the hard work of their salvation to have their sin purged from their heart and not just a change in outward behavior . You cannot fake that purity . When God sees that , He reveals Himself to that person in the place that the sin previously occupied .
“ Blessed are the peacemakers , for they shall be called sons of God .” ( Matthew 5:9 )
This blessing starts to come full circle in many ways . You could say that the process up to this point was about each of us making peace between ourselves and God . This is a reminder that the blessing is about helping others to do the same through whatever spiritual giftings for ministry which God has given you . Freely you have received , so freely give ( Matthew 10:8 ). Yeshua is the Son of God who came so that peace could be made between us and the Father . When we do the same , we are becoming like Yeshua , and thus are called sons and daughters of God . While I have seen the power of evangelism and encourage all believers to practice it as Yeshua taught , you cannot give what you have not received . The progression in the blessings up to this point is what makes the Gospel real in our lives , and we become more effective at helping apply the Gospel to the lives of others when you have effectively applied it to yourself first .
