PREPARING FOR THE FREEDOM OF PESACH

Passover is the seminal event in the history of the Jewish people. It marks our liberation from the slavery of Egypt, and begins our formation as a nation in service to the God of our forefathers. Although the moment of the Paschal sacrifice occured at a specific moment – בּ ֥ין הָ עַ רְ ָ בּ ֽיִם ֵ,“ between the sundown’ s”( Exodus 12:6) – on the 14th of Nisan, it is more than just a single moment on the calendar of our people. The moment of the Passover offering is the epitome of a time in the life of Israel year after year that is often referred to as
- Zeman Chiruteinu –“ The Season of Our חירותינו זמן
Liberation.”
