The judgment is primarily focused on the people of God ( Israel ) for their sin of turning away from Adonai and allowing corruption and idolatry to overrun the nation . He says He will pour out His fury and “... in the fire of My wrath all the earth will be consumed .” ( Zeph . 3:8b , TLV ) He says He will purge Israel of the proud and arrogant ones who have profaned what is holy , preserving only those who are meek and humble . This is a two-fold warning to us as His people ( whether we are grafted-in Gentiles , or Jews ).
First , let ’ s be sure that we find ourselves among the meek and humble , ever drawing nearer to God , faithful to Him in ALL things regardless of the chaos and corruption around us .
Second , our hearts should yearn with great urgency to draw wayward and lost souls to the King of all kings while there is still time , that these people may also enter into God ’ s restoration , celebration , and glory . The alternative for these people is horrific . Let ’ s not sugar-coat the horrors of hell .
THE GREATEST PARTY OF ALL TIME
The Father wants to gather worshipers unto Himself , to present Yeshua with a pure and spotless bride , preserved just for Him . The glory of the LORD is revealed in this great exchange . So , as we walk the earth in this season of time , let ’ s keep our vision fixed on the Author and Perfecter of our faith , maintaining Kingdom vision past all the darkness , and suffering this world breeds , seeing The Greatest Party of all time .
Even more , let ’ s extend the invitation to as many as we can while we still have time left on this earth . And let ’ s do it with the excited certainty a child has when inviting her friends to her own birthday party : “ It ’ s going to be so great ! You have to be there ! Don ’ t miss it !”
Be encouraged that no matter the pain or loss in your life , no matter how dark the darkness gets in this world , God ’ s light is always brighter , and He is already wildly excited about just how glorious the revealing of His Glory will be . Even now , we can celebrate with Him ! And let ’ s bring as many people with us to The Party as we can !
