I believe that Adonai is bringing us to a season of leadership restoration . Part of that process will require us to deal with the pain , face the past , and seek healing and restoration that must take place as it pertains to OUR leadership wounds .
As a result , there are three key areas we can seek the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit to help bring about a redemptive and restorative plan to take place in our healing process as it pertains to those leadership wounds we have experienced .
Expectations – Often , our expectations for and of others can be a root of discontent , hurt , and disappointment , especially in those who have led or are leading us . Consider asking Adonai , where have I had unrealistic expectations of someone or have placed upon a leader in my life that they were not designed to carry and hold for me ?
Isolation – The reality is that when we have experienced some hurt from a leader we have embraced , trusted , and followed , we can isolate ourselves from others , whether that be the body of believers as a whole or from other leaders . We begin to observe from the sidelines and live life on our own . As a result , we withdraw and negate ourselves of the things we need to heal through those wounds – community and authentic leadership . Consider asking Adonai if , how , and where I have isolated myself from others or potential leaders that He has positioned for me to begin and aid in my healing process .
