I pray that these last two articles have been edifying and sanctifying for you as we are approaching the fall feasts in the month of Tishrei . The traditions around the month of Elul show us that repentance does not need to wait for the special day of Yom Kippur focused on repentance — we can repent as soon as we know our sin knowing that a day of judgment is coming . The 10 Commandments with the two greatest commandments are always applicable and worthy of meditation , not just when called to repentance by the Shofar blasts starting at Yom Teruah .
