This is echoed in I Cor . 3:11-15 stating ,
For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid , which is Yeshua the Messiah . “ Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold , silver , precious stones , wood , hay , straw , “ each man ' s work will become evident ; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire , and the fire itself will test the quality of each man ’ s work . “ If any man ’ s work which he has built remains , he will receive a reward . If any man to work is burned up , he shall suffer loss , but he himself shall be safe as ( passing ) through fire .
The main reason we are here — and for the work God is doing in us — is so we can be conformed to the image of His Son and abide in Him . We are Yeshua ’ s disciples if we take up our cross and follow after Him . ( Matt . 16:24 ) We must lay down our stubborn self-will and obey His Word . Through this , what we become is the most important work in our lives !
Since we have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken , we must offer to God acceptable service with an attitude of thanksgiving . This is the poise of our souls as we go about the business of living . The joy produced well represents to everyone what it ' s like to live in the fear of God . So , what is this acceptable service to which we are called ?
