No doubt Yeshua had a word of knowledge from the Spirit about what the Father was doing in Zacchaeus ’ heart to bring him to a place of repentance .
A sycamore-fig tree takes at least six years to grow to maturity ; its lifespan is between 50 and 100 years . A seed was planted , watered , germinated , and grew into a sapling at some point , possibly a decade before the encounter with Yeshua . Perhaps someone intentionally planted the seed , or maybe it was just part of the natural order .
In His sovereignty , God knew that the tree would be needed for the encounter between Zacchaeus and Yeshua .
