The Body as the Temple of the Holy Spirit, pt. 1

In 1 Corinthians 6:19, Paul states that as believers, our body is a Temple of the Holy Spirit. Often believers take this idea as a given, as if it is‘ obvious’ since Paul has stated it in the Scriptures. Indeed, Paul states it as if it is something his readers should know, but where did Paul get it from? With the New Testament at our fingertips, we can often take for granted the advanced teachings of Paul without considering the depth and context of his teachings coming from the Tanakh( Old Testament). In this 3-part series, I will deeply explore the Scriptures this topic so that we can also apply it to our lives in a deeper way. We are going to use the imagery of the Mishkan( Tabernacle) to better understand what it means to be a Temple of the Holy Spirit.
