History achieved for Lady Panthers basketball

Call it a Lady Panthers renaissance . Everything these athletes at Tiftarea Academy have touched the past couple of years has brought on something greater for themselves , their school and their community .
In 2021 , the softball team made it all the way to the Class AAA state finals in the GISA . In 2023 , most of the same group filled out the basketball roster and it went to the GIAA state title game for the first time in school history .
Deerfield-Windsor ended the quest for the biggest trophy . The Lady Knights , beaten only once in 2022-23 , got out to an early lead and expanded it . The end score was 61-34 , a tough ending for what had been a magical year .
