Dance school has feline mascot

ust about any school has a mascot to represent them, but not many establishments in Tift County can claim to have an actual pet doing the job.
You’ ll find just that at Regina’ s School of Dance in Downtown Tifton, where owner Regina Clark’ s cat Goldie has taken up the role to such a degree that she’ s made the dance studio her home.
Named after actress Goldie Hawn— and the small patch of golden fur under her chin— the calico has lived in the studio for the past two years, wandering between it and the Clarks’ home as she pleases during the day and staying in the business at night.
Goldie is a regular attendee of the School of Dance’ s classes, though she prefers to observe from the sidelines or wander the studio instead of showing off her own moves.
“ They love her— they miss her when she’ s not available, because she’ s usually in the windows or coming through. They’ re so funny about her; they all want to see her and know where she is.”
~ Regina Clark, owner of Regina’ s School of Dance
