Bessie Tift, erected in the summer of 2025, watch over Downtown Tifton – sitting between the Syd Blackmarr Arts Center, housed in a building Henry helped construct, and the public library, formerly the Post Office Bessie aided in establishing – as a testament to the countless contributions the pair made to Tifton’ s growth during their lives.
