#stylefw That was the official hashtag of our adventure at Gotham Hall. New York Fashion week opened its doors to us on a bitterly cold February afternoon. Through the red velvet ropes, we entered the VIP area and went directly down to where the action was . Designers, makeup and hair designers, models, runway coaches, and media/press were all abuzz in the basement . This was what Fashion week was all about for me. The nerves , the dreams , and the excitement. The creativity and the visions coming to life underground . It's a New York kind of style. All roaming the room were designers like FGI’s Rising Star Award winner; Malan Breton, former Oscar de la Renta designer; Raul Penaranda, PopImpressKa, Ev Bessar, Nina Gleyzer and Project Runway designer; Amanda Perna. Along side their models, who were all hand picked to walk in these shows. Some flying in from Altlanta, Florida and Louisiana, even from as far away as from Melbourne, Australia.

! It is also important for me to mention , all of the models were incredibly sweet; as were all the professionals. The press were interviewing left and right in every available space. A few celebrities made their way through the basement. Camille Cramer was in attendance because her daughter walked for Malan.!

Then, all of a sudden it's show time. You'll see the media and press leave the basement swiftly, pining for the coveted spaces in the media pit. Then the celebrities leave to find their VIP seats . We were graciously given VIP passes by the fabulous Nina Gleyzer. Front row was myself , Kelly Hart of ThatGirl...and Stacey Brenton of Paper Lantern. Matt Van Ness of MV film productions, had our cinema coverage squared away up in the VIP balcony. Airen was front and center of the media box; a spot he had to fight for and then stay there for 4 straight hours… all part of the game. Seated and awaiting the immensely electrified showcase. Gotham Hall is gothic architecture at its very finest.

Each designer had a clear vision and personal statement of style. Trendy and artistic prints from PopImpressKa was a contrast to Nina Gleyzer and her luxurious furs and tailored designs. While Malan’s style bought cheers and clapping from his devoted following of fans. When Nina's exquisitely tailored pieces came into view , you could hear the deep breathes of astonishing appreciation. Each piece was admired by both young and mature attendees alike. Trendy leathers with cutout designs and tailored long quilted dresses with mink fur details. A mix of class and edgy couture. Fashion week never let's the attendees down. Visually stunning and artistically inspiring. When fashion week is over , you're already Planning next seasons trip. Although it was a cold cold day outside, inside Gotham Hall was everything hot and everything needed to be fabulous.
