What's Love Got to Do With It?

by Cara Wilson-Granat & Sarah Piehl

he Tina Turner song sung by the legend herself asks a question that begs for an answer. Especially when it comes to what is deemed to be the most romantic time of all--your wedding day. It’s easy to be caught up in the “thing-ness” of everything leading up the big event. You already know the drill—the details of the location, time, date; the dress and wedding theme; guest list, best man, matron of honor, brides maids and groomsmen; the flowers, catering, DJ, photographer, etc. It’s a mighty check list that many brides compile into a mammoth-sized notebook and/or website bursting at the seams with all the essential minutia everyone is expected to cover in planning the Big Day. And don’t forget the additional joy of everyone’s opinion involving the event that is supposed to truly be about the two of you.
