n today’s wedding industry, I find many publications do not touch on subjects like special needs brides. Specifically, I do not find publications or articles addressing hearing impaired, visually impaired, or physically disabled brides. What I primarily find are advertisements and publications geared towards the traditional bride. Why this area would not be a topic of discussion in the wedding industry?

As I started to write this article, I contacted many sources from magazines to educational facilities and I was truly amazed that no one, not one person contacted my business or Tied in a Bow regarding the article and that really truly broke my heart! I believe there is a need out there for brides that have special needs and a truly caring wedding vendor and wedding planner can help them obtain and achieve the wedding of their dream. According to Business Weekly, the wedding industry is a $51 billion industry, so why would the industry not want to cater to special needs brides? I believe we all can learn and benefit from different communities. I believe that people have something special to share and something we can benefit from, like learning, knowledge, and understanding. This area is very important to me and it should be important to others. It is not just about money--it is much more than that.
