Presented with an iconic piece of clothing like the "Carrie Tutu", this fashion girl squealed like a kid at Disneyworld . As awesome as the White Version was, we chose to go with the black tutu made by the same designer David Dalrymple Inc.

We also pulled a beautiful white tutu made by David that was incredible and stood out from all the pieces on the racks. A layered tutu skirt with a wedding veil, repurposed over the tooling, made this piece unbelievably gorgeous and Couture.

Those moments inside the studio putting together the looks for the upcoming editorial, is what a stylist lives for. It's exciting, It's exhilarating. Your creative eye has a blank canvas. As you put your Styles and looks together, it's a vision of images that flash before your eyes. Seeing it come to life is surreal. Rachel is the iconic NYC artist with this amazing sense of self and a genuinely fantastic person. It was such a pleasure to work with her.

We headed to our first day of shooting with the team assembled. Kelly Hart and Amber for Thatgirl on hair and make up and Airen Miller on Photography with his Assistant Joseph Fortin. Three models, Jessica, Liane, and Amber. All followed by Matt Van Ness of MV films, capturing everything behind the scenes.

The idea and concept of this shoot was to showcase high-end textile art pieces as they once were. As couture works of Art. Classy and Sophisticated with an edgy flare. Somewhere along the line, (in this columnists opinion) Fashionable Art has lost its status as luxurious and collectable . Too often put in a category of urban and underground. While pieces can certainly be described as such, it’s been far too long that these pieces of art are not elevated and admired in a way they deserve. As 2016 has shown us already, people are looking for old world glamour. Designers, while their collections are wearable art, are infusing glamour and trendsetting pieces.

Shooting meant traveling back to New York. Three models, two makeup artists, film crew, two photographers, fresh flowers from our florist back home as well as Ebony Amber Chunk Jewelry pieces and little old me with a case full of couture clothing. We filed onto trains and subways to get to our previously determined locations. Shooting in NYC takes a very specific skill set. There are rules, guidelines and city ordinances you must know and follow. Our team is well-seasoned and prepared for anything new York has to offer.

The weather was a blessing and each and every location went flawlessly. Madison Square Park to the Flat Iron building and some secret locations, were all perfectly matched with the unique couture pieces.

After heading back to Soho to return the collection to Rachel and delivering her gift from Ebony Amber Chunk, we were headed home. What an amazing experience this was and we are so looking forward to our next collaboration.
