What does one say when they get a message from Academy award-winning costumer and stylist Patricia Field and she's inviting you to her private art studio in the Soho District of New York City?

You say " When and what time please." Then you put down the phone and just about faint.

A long-time admirer of Patricia and her body of work, I nearly fainted. I've also been inspired and impressed by her charitable endeavors. Patricia is certainly the example of community involvement and giving back. Plus, I mean, seriously, what girl between the age of 35 and 45 hasn't dreamed of living in NYC and being Carrie Bradshaw? What about working at Runway and going to Paris Fashion week? Those iconic movie and television characters won Patricia Academy awards and numerous nominations. Based on her defining costuming and styling, Patricia Field is a fashion icon in her own right.

What do you do when she says "let's do a shoot together"? You Assemble your team and you go. Don't look back, you just go!

Our first trip into New York was to locate the art studio and do my "pull". We were greeted by the spunky and beautifully artistic, Rachel. Having been with Patricia for many years, Rachel is an intricate part to all things Patricia Field. Rachel was happy to go through the different designer collections that are found within the House of Field studio space. Explaining a little bit about each designer, Rachel helped us decide which pieces we would want to showcase the following week, in our two day shoot.
