Dr. Mitchell Morton is the CTO and Co-Founder of Edama Organic Solutions, a deep-tech company transforming organic waste into high-value resources for desert agriculture. He holds a Ph. D. in Plant Science and an M. S. in Bioscience from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology( KAUST), and a B. S. in Biology from Imperial College London.
Edama’ s mission is to build a local circular economy by recycling organic waste into sustainable agricultural inputs aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The company integrates advanced composting technologies with proprietary scientific processes to deliver scalable, city-scale recycling solutions for arid environments.
At Edama, Dr. Morton leads product development, applying his scientific expertise to design and scale innovative solutions for desert agriculture. His work focuses on composting technologies, plant science, food systems, water security, and sustainable agriculture in arid climates.
