“ Our Favorite Attitude should be Gratitude”
Trinity Book Group
On May 2nd at 9:30 the TLC book group will discuss a very Lutheran book, Dreams of My Mothers: A Story of Love Transcendent by Joel L. A. Peterson. This is a fictionalized version of the author’ s own life as a biracial child, first in his birth country of Korea, and then in his adoptive country of the US
Pastor Paul will join us in June when we discuss A Mother’ s Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy by Sue Klebold, the mother of one of the Columbine shooters. As a mother, she tries to come to terms with the incomprehensible in the hopes of helping other families recognize when a child is in distress.
New readers are always welcome! Join us in the library on the first Monday of the month. Questions? Call Nadine Hunt at 568-8579.

A Note from Pastor Paul

“ Our Favorite Attitude should be Gratitude”

The above quote from Zig Ziglar, a motivational speaker, should describe us as we go about our lives. Yes, it’ s sometimes hard but such an approach to life even in our difficult times brings peace and tranquility. When we really concentrate on who we are as children God and that our times are in his hands gratitude is easier to come by.
Our sympathies are expressed to Marilyn Helmreich and her family on the death of Bob. We remember Shirley Linton ' s family as she has passed to the church triumphant. Both of these persons were faithful members of Trinity. Shirley was confined to Centre Rehab for several years. Bob died at Lemay Rehab after a year of working with pancreatic cancer.
Ken Oakleaf continues at Lemay. He suffered a slight stroke about a month ago. Inez Greisen and Bev Bainer are holding down the fort at Mercer. Elaine Nielsen moved from home to the new part of Mercer about a month ago but has suffered with some issues of aging and is at Center Rehab. Jerry Jungmeyer has changed locations and is at the Rehab Center just North of PVH.
Lou Stitzel continues her journey at Golden Peaks as does Irene Pearson. Frieda Alsleben continues at home with help. Irene Ekblad is in Loveland Good Samaritan. Bob and Martha Strohman are doing ok at home and do not get out. Such is the case with Helen and Jim Waag.
I don ' t have my list in front of me so there may be others I have visited in pre-Easter who escape my memory at the moment. This is written on April 15.... which Natalie says is the deadline for May..... so things may have changed by the time you get this. Our thanks to Natalie for putting together a fine Tidings for Trinity.
