DID YOU KNOW THAT...
One person has been in charge of making sure our sanctuary looks beautiful with the right decorations,
candles, flowers, banners, etc. For 15 years, Mary Ann Miller has put in countless hours and appreciates any
help she gets. Next time you see her—thank her! What a service!
Someone lived where Jesus spent most of his ministry, was 15 miles from the Sea of Galilee, and 25 miles
from where Jesus grew up in Nazareth. Yes, Pastor Gabi knows his culture and heritage go together.
Two of our members were born in England although different years and parts of the century. Mary Wolpert
and Jennifer Anderson have beautiful English accents! Ask Mary about the war years.
There is one other person who has been treasurer of Trinity for 18 years—Kent Garvin is appointed by our
council—Thank him too! Also, quite a ministry.

Gifted to Grow, Given to Share
Presidents Report
“And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of
everything, you may share abundantly in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8)
As the commitment phase of the Gifted to Grow, Given to Share capital campaign comes to a close, reflection
and celebration are in order. The primary campaign goal established by Trinity’s steering committee and
campaign consultant was $583,000, with a challenge goal of $942,000. Through committed effort by the
committee, involvement of a large group of campaign volunteers and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit we have
received three year pledges totaling about $710,000 to date. There are still some commitments in process
and about $750,000 is expected when all gifts are complete. These gifts will enable us to complete the
primary goal projects and a good portion of the challenge goal projects. Thanks be to God!
In addition to financial goals, the campaign also had a goal of strengthening the Trinity community through
visits with our brothers and sisters. In a society where face to face interaction is no longer the prevalent
means of human interaction, arranging visits took a large effort from the Commitment team. The team made
190 personal contacts resulting in 173 personal visits. The general feedback from the team and the
congregation was the personal visits were enjoyable, inspiring and an opportunity to share faith and grow
friendships.
The specific projects to be completed with the campaign funds have emanated from the congregation—
approved Mission and Vision Plan and are detailed in the campaign prospectus distributed in November.
Contributions have started to come in and the process to decide project priority and timing will begin soon.
While not yet formally approved by Council, it has been proposed that a small committee manage the
selection and funding of projects with Council oversight and final approval. The proposed committee will
include members from Council, Finance, Property and the Campaign Steering committee. As projects are
approved, the congregation will be notified through Tidings, bulletins and other communication. We also plan
to have regular celebrations as funds become available and projects are completed.
Thanks to everyone involved in the making this campaign successful. Special thanks go to our Consultant
