TIAB Style Amanda Brooke - Rapunzel | Page 2

The first time I talked to John Mathis I was fishing with my husband. I knew as soon as I got off the phone this was an opportunity of a lifetime. It was in July of 2014 and he told me about a shoot that was going to be in August at Natchez, MS. I was so excited to be a part of this wonderful opportunity. We talked about the uprising of a new magazine and I was going to be able to be in the first issue of the magazine Tied In A Bow. This was the first time I had gotten a chance to be published in a magazine. So in August I traveled to Natchez and not only did I meet some amazing people but I met with what became my new family. We had a great time shooting that weekend and in October I was published for my first time and the first issue of Tied In A Bow magazine.

After that I participated in many more Tied In A Bow activities including amazing photo shoots, more publishing’s, and meeting more amazing people. At this time I realized my dreams were coming true right before my eyes. I always wanted to be a model as a little girl. I told my family growing up I wanted to be a model when I grew up and it is actually coming true. I was given the opportunity to be published in Chef Lynn’s new cookbook Delicioso that year because of my previous opportunities with Tied In A Bow. It was such an honor to be published in a cookbook with Chef Lynn and so much fun. It was cartooned in the cookbook which is just like Chef Lynn.

I have been published in different issues of Tied in a Bow. I have also been published in Mud and Magnolias magazine and Southern Sass Magazine. I have had these great opportunities because of what Tied in a Bow has taught me in this past year. Because of my accomplishments so far I have had the opportunity to meet many amazing people. I have grown so much not only as a model but also as a person since I first met with the TIAB family. I’m so proud to be able to say that I am now and always will be a member of the TIAB family. They truly helped this small town girl start living her dreams.

I was able to meet other photographers and models because of Tied In A Bow which led me to more jobs. I had the opportunity to do some fashion shows for some of the designers that I met while doing photo shoots with Tied In A Bow. I was also submitted to be in a Versace Home photo shoot because of Tied In A Bow and I later found out that I had been chosen to be one of the models for the shoot. I was thrilled. I could not believe that it was actually happening. So in January of 2016 I will be shooting with so many great new people for some awesome brands including Versace Home. I also have the opportunity to shoot with Shawn Bennett of Tied In A Bow soon.

Had it not been for all the opportunities with Tied In A Bow I don’t think I would be this far in my modeling career. They have taught me so much and have helped me become the confident model that I am today. I cannot wait to see what my future has in store for me with my modeling career. I pray that one day I will be a famous model and be able to give back to the people who have done so much for me and helped me get to where I am today.
